North British Single Grain Scotch Whisky, 33 years 1989
Lowlands, The Whisky Cellar, 750 ml
Producer: | The Whisky Cellar |
Origin: | United Kingdom / Lowlands |
Description
Keith Bonnington founder of The Wisky Cellar admits being partial to a good old Single Grain. He has explored a few distilleries, most notably North British in his home city of Edinburgh. This is the oldest North British he has bottled to date. A 33-year-old whisky that was matured in a refill Bourbon barrel. Age has brought aromas of white chocolate, biscotti, and coconut. The palate repeats the biscotti flavours and combines it with golden rum, allspice, zingy lime zest and crème caramel. On the finish, sweet spice, whisky-soaked bung cloth, salted butter and caramel coconut wafers.
Top Recommandation – Best Whisky Shop 2025 Award
The prestigious Whisky Time magazine recommended Baur au Lac Vins as a top address for whiskies as part of the Whisky Shop Awards 2025.

Lowlands
Lowlands: Hochprozentig subtil
