Description

In 2000 a hammer mill and mash filter – the only one operational in a Scottish malt distillery – was installed at Teaninich. The use of this technology, which eliminates the need for a mash tun, produces an ultra-clear wort. The Teaninich whiskies are therefore characterised by a light and floral-sweet character. The nose of this single malt is dominated by aromas of toasted orange peel, exotic floral notes as well as stewed orchard fruits. On the palate, this whisky, fnished in Oloroso sherry casks, shows caramelised nuts, gingerbread and dark honey. The finish is of medium length and leaves a warming mouthfeel.

Top Recommandation – Best Whisky Shop 2025 Award

The prestigious Whisky Time magazine recommended Baur au Lac Vins as a top address for whiskies as part of the Whisky Shop Awards 2025.

Highlands: Clans, Schafe, Whiskys
