Retrokirsch
Zug, Etter, 700 ml
Producer: | Distillerie Etter |
Origin: | Switzerland |
Description
The Etter Retrokirsch, a true rarity with guaranteed flavour!
This Retrokirsch is a tribute to farmer Johann Baptist Etter (1800-1872), who distilled his own cherries as a sideline on his farm "Bergl" in the Zug municipality of Menzingen, thus laying the foundations for the success story of the Etter distillery. There are still precious treasures in Etter's basket store and this retro cherry was created from these mature cherry vintages with a great deal of expertise and passion. The result is a characterful, multi-layered, intense and very aromatic kirsch.

Switzerland – A small country with enormous diversity
Switzerland is famous for its banks, watches, and cheese, but not necessarily for its wine. The Swiss didn't invent wine, but they have been extremely open and curious to it. Wine culture arrived in what is now modern Switzerland via several routes: from Marseilles to Lake Geneva and the Lower Valais region; from the Aosta Valley through the Great St. Bernard Pass to the rest of Valais; from the Rhone through Burgundy, across the Jura Mountains to Lake Constance; and from Lombardy to Ticino, and then on to Grisons.
